A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words
What a perplexing picture. So simple, yet, so unique and different. The most obvious observation of the above photograph is the fact that it's black and white with every shade of gray imaginable. As the lone man stands in the middle of the road, you can't help but see the rows and rows of cars that seemingly never end. How can fear not cross this man's mind? The photo showcases a rebellious and free spirited man doing a ludicrous thing pictured in the middle of a busy interstate. Not only that but a serenity is also displayed. Only a few cars are at the very front and then all of sudden, a wall of cars begins to follow immediately after. With that said, it's as if the serenity is leaving and the madness is just starting. As I begin to pull more and more of these observations together, it's as if this picture is putting polar opposites all together: serenity and madness, black and white. Observations for this photograph can never stop. Just like the oncoming traffic.
