Short List

1. Swimsuit by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro book cover
While carrying this book around school, people of all sorts caught a glimpse of the cover and began to strike a conversation about it. It then crossed my mind, after time and time again people were swarming me, is this book cover model too skinny?

2. One of Banksy's pieces of art in LA -- visit his website here
Banksy is one of the world's most famous graffiti artists at the time. Although he is known around the world, he refuses to showcase his face to the public. His remarkable graffiti artwork that is shown around the world is impossible not to marvel at. It's not the typical graffiti such as the common advertisement of a particular gang, but rather a very enjoyable, beautiful thing to be in the presence of.

3. "The Artist" trailer
This movie, directed by Michel Hazanavicius, has been talked about nonstop. With very little dialogue, it is something out of the ordinary for today's society to have a silent film hitting the box office. Not only is it doing well in the box office sales, but it has also managed to rack up the Oscar nominations with an impressive 10 nominations ("Hugo" beats it with 11 nominations). During the 2:30 long trailer, you are forced to decode the tone with just examining the actors and actresses faces and the music that goes along with it. It certainly is a fresh breath of air.

  1. I like the idea of analyzing book covers. I suggest you write about that this week or sometime soon! I will definitely read it!
