Life Gets Out of the City

My favorite poem from this week was "Death Gets into the Suburbs" by Michelle Bloisseau. enjoyed this poem the most because it struck my attention the entire time I was reading it with the constant rhymes at the end of the sentences. Not only did I enjoy the rhymes that the poem continually had incorporated, but I also very much liked all of the comparisons it made throughout as well. My favorite line in the entire poem was the last one, "So let’s walk the ruins, let’s walk along the ocean and listen to death’s undying devotion." This one really caught my attention more than any of the others because I thought that death part of it was very dark and perplexing. It made me curious trying to "listen to death."
